Privacy Policy for Set
Last Updated: November 6th, 2025
Your privacy is important to us. Set is built with your privacy as a core principle—we believe your task data is yours alone.
The Short Version
- Your tasks stay on your device. We don’t collect, store, or access your task data, projects, or any productivity information.
- iCloud is between you and Apple. If you enable iCloud sync, your data syncs through Apple’s servers using end-to-end encryption. We never see it.
- Subscriptions through RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat to manage Pro subscriptions. They process the absolute minimum needed to handle your subscription—no tasks, no usage data, just subscription status.
- No tracking, no ads, no nonsense. We don’t use analytics, trackers, or advertising networks.
If you want more details, read on.
What We Collect
Subscription Information Only
Set offers an optional Pro subscription managed through RevenueCat. This is the only information collected:
- Subscription status: Whether you have an active subscription, trial, or cancellation
- Purchase metadata: Your subscription tier and validity from Apple’s App Store
- Anonymous device identifier: Links your subscription across devices (not personally identifiable)
RevenueCat exists solely to manage your subscription. See their Privacy Policy for details.
What We Don’t Collect
No Task or Productivity Data
All of your data—tasks, projects, stages, durations, breaks, statistics—is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. We never collect, access, store, or process any of this information.
No Analytics or Tracking
We don’t track:
- How you use the app
- Which features you use
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Your behavior or usage patterns
Future Consideration: We may add optional crash diagnostics to improve app stability. If we do, it will be opt-in only, fully anonymized, disclosed in Settings, and announced here first. For now, we collect nothing.
How Your Data Works
Local Storage
Your productivity data lives in your device’s app sandbox. When you create tasks, track time, or generate statistics—all processing happens entirely on your device.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud sync in Settings → Data:
- Your data syncs between your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac) using Apple CloudKit
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple’s security standards
- Sync happens directly between your devices and Apple’s iCloud—never touching our servers
- We have zero visibility into your iCloud data
Disable iCloud sync anytime to keep your data local only. Your relationship with iCloud is governed by Apple’s iCloud Terms.
Third-Party Services
Apple (App Store & iCloud)
Set is distributed through the Apple App Store. When you purchase a subscription via in-app purchase, Apple processes your payment and shares subscription status with us (via RevenueCat)—but not your payment details or personal information. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
RevenueCat validates subscriptions, handles trials and renewals, and provides Pro feature access across devices. They collect only subscription status and an anonymous device identifier—no task data, no personal details.
Your Rights and Controls
Access Your Data
All your data is on your device. View it anytime in the app. If using iCloud sync, manage it through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.
Delete Your Data
Delete data anytime:
- Individual items: Use in-app delete options for tasks, projects, or statistics
- Reset everything: Settings → Data → Reset All Data (permanently deletes all tasks, projects, stages, breaks, and statistics)
Deleting data in the app also removes it from iCloud if sync is enabled. Disable iCloud sync in Settings → Data to stop syncing.
Important Disclaimers
Not Medical Advice
Set is a productivity tool, not a medical device or clinical tool. It is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent ADHD, anxiety, depression, or any medical condition.
If you have a health condition, consult a qualified healthcare provider. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something in this app. Set does not replace therapy, medication, or evidence-based treatments. Do not rely on this app for medication reminders or critical medical tasks.
See our End User License Agreement (EULA) for complete medical disclaimers.
Not a Health App
Set does not collect, process, or store health data as defined by HIPAA, GDPR, or Apple HealthKit. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity and do not handle protected health information (PHI).
Children’s Privacy
Set is not directed at children under 13. We don’t collect personal information from anyone, including children. All data is stored locally on the device.
Parents or guardians can delete a child’s data by:
- Deleting the app from the device (removes all local data)
- Disabling iCloud sync and deleting iCloud data through iOS Settings
Data Retention
We don’t collect your task data, so we don’t retain it. Your data lives on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account) until you delete it.
Subscription data managed by RevenueCat is retained as long as necessary to manage your subscription.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally (for example, if we add new features). For significant changes, we’ll notify you by:
- Updating the “Last Updated” date above
- Displaying a notice in the app
Continued use of Set after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Because we don’t collect personal or task data, most data rights (access, rectify, delete) are handled locally on your device.
